Weeping Icon
Weeping Icon is a post-punk noise rock project from Brooklyn, NY. Comprised of longtime collaborators Lani Combier-Kapel (drums, vocals) and Sara Fantry (guitar, vocals) of prior NYC staple Advaeta, Sarah Reinold (bass) formerly of Water Temples, and Heather Elle (noise) of the contemporary project Flossing, Weeping Icon delivers a heavy and mesmerizing performance that comes alive through their unique weaving of structure and chaos, as they pair precise melodies with static, relentless pummels and shrieks of raw fury. They released their debut EP “Eyeball Under” followed by their self-titled LP (featuring Sarah Lutkenhaus of noise project Lutkie) on Fire Talk Records, recorded by Ben Greenberg of Uniform. They are currently working on their sophomore LP with Martin Bisi at BC Studios in Brooklyn.
